Day to Day

Well, I have not given a day-to-day update on our blog recently so I figured now would be as good of time as any. School is going well but I am counting down the days until May 26th when we are out for summer! Nick is enjoying the challenge of his job and it is keeping him busy. He had to go to Atlanta for a financial advisor conference for a couple of days so I am trying to hold down the fort.
We joined the YMCA and Weight Watchers so you might not recognize us after our "health kick." Nick works out with his friend Matt every Mon., Wed., and Friday at 6:00 am. They have not missed a day in over two months which really impresses me. I go with Nan a couple of afternoons a week to aerobics. I will have to say that this is my first time to consistently work out in my whole life. It is actually somewhat enjoyable.
Nick's church softball season has started back up again so that is fun to go watch when the games start after my Biblestudy. Nick got his first battle scar of the season last week when he slid into base.
We are still going to small group on Sunday nights and are almost the only ones that have not had a baby in the past 6 months. Something must be in the water because everyone is having babies. Nick has gotten braver and braver each week and now enjoys holding and playing with all the infants. He used to get scared that he would break them but know he looks like a natural!
The last thing that I am going to bore you with is that I planted tons of spring flowers in our window boxes and planters. We bought a weed eater and Nick has started had to mow the grass (or maybe I should say weeds in our yard) almost everyweek. I love owning a home in the spring!
Well, I am off to bed...

We had a baby shower Saturday night at our house for Shannon and Chris Coffey. It was a "dessert and Coffey" shower. Do you get it? hahaha:) We had ice cream Sundays with every topping known to man. (I am trying not to think about how many points I ate that night for my weight watchers-yikes) But it sure was worth it! Posted by Picasa

It was hilarious listening to Shannon and Chris' answers to the game that we made them play. They did well and they gave pretty similar answers on most of the questions.  Posted by Picasa

Here is the progress in our backyard after their day's work:)  Posted by Picasa

Nick's sweet dad worked so hard all day long while Nick's mom, his sister and I had fun visiting inside.  Posted by Picasa

Here is the "chipper" that Nick rented for the weekend. He and his dad worked and worked and worked and worked all day long clearing the back yard.  Posted by Picasa

Here are all of baby Melissa's friends. We can't wait to meet her on June 4th! Posted by Picasa

Since the weatherman told us to cancel our camping trip and Sara had already made the long journey to Athens we had our own little bonfire in the back yard. You know what they always say "when life gives you marshmallows, make s'mores." Posted by Picasa

Here we are.... Posted by Picasa

Two weekends ago we went to Camp Maranoonk to to counselors for a Family Weekend (this was the camp that we met at). We were paired up with the sweet Sim family. They had four children that were ages 11, 9, 5 and 2. We had had a blast. Posted by Picasa

It was freezing.....burr Posted by Picasa

Nick had to dust the ole guitar off and practice some songs to lead worship for the weekend. FYI...this is the room where all the magic began four summers ago when we were camp counselors. Posted by Picasa

I will have to add in that I taught the two year old named Harrison, who has been brainwashed to say "Roll Tide," to say "War Eagle!" I planted a seed! Posted by Picasa

Here is Nick doing the channel challenge. He tried not to get wet but he was unsuccessful:( Posted by Picasa
