A Magic Trick

The most unbelievable magic trick that takes place in the Brannen house is singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider!" Go ahead and say it because I know you are thinking "what in the world is she talking about?" Whenever Will won't eat his food we start singing while he does the motions and he automatically opens his mouth!!! Don't ask me why but he just does. Here is how it works...

We sing... The Itsy Bitsy Spider went up the water spout....(notice his little fingers!)

...out came the sun...

...mouth opens and he eats big bites...

Ta Da!!! Dinner is gone...

Now everyone is happy and it is time to go play!!!

Yay, for Will!

Sunday afternoon nap...

Will is our little snuggle bug!! He will snuggle anytime and anywhere! And hugs are no different:) I prayed for a child that loves to snuggle and the Lord definitely answered that request!

Slurpin' good

My mom, Mandi, Cooper and Claire came to visit last week to help me with baby girls nursery (they were a huge help and I was very thankful for their creative minds). Anywho, that night as we waited on the snow storm that was predicted we went to the grill and devoured a yummy dinner that was topped off by some delicious milkshakes.

The kids slurped them dry...

It looks like we might have some kissin' cousins....

Since nobody was at the restaurant because of the nasty cold weather they had a good ole time playing choo choo....

It was cute until they fell on the nasty floor and wanted to play...

What you can't see in this picture are the tears rolling down Will's cheeks over the idea of having to share his daddy's "tar." His world has been shattered lately as he is learning the concept that he has to share his toys with our friends. Life is hard when you are 20 months old!It was so fun watching them laugh and play together. It made me excited about him having a sister that will be a playmate all the time!

Happy 2010!!

It is hard to believe that it is already 2010! We had a wonderful time ringing in the new year with lots of great friends at our annual Progressive Dinner! This is the 6th year that we have had it and it seems to get better every year. It started with four couples and has grown quite a bit over the years. The night started with appetizers at our house and then moved to the main course at the Coffey's and ended with dessert at the Rivers.

I forgot to mention that Will spent the night with Grammy and Papa's house for the first time all by himself! It was so amazing to be able to clean the house, decorate for the party, not worry about getting a babysitter on NYE and then to be able to sleep in (we slept until 10:00am!!!) with just the two of us! Will did great and I am pretty sure he did not even miss us one bit because he was being spoiled by his grandparents and aunt Kelly!
