Fun on the farm
Last weekend we had a blast with Nick's family in McDonough, GA. Saturday we went to Southern Belle Farms and tried to find our way through a corn maize, slide down a big slide, ride in a parade, race in go-cart bicycles thingies, watch a pig race and ride on a cowtrain. We ended the day with hotdogs and yummy apple pie made by Kelly. Will was a trooper and did just about everything we did. My vote is that we make this a family tradition every year!

Pumpkin Carvin' Gatherin'

We had our annual pumpkin carving party last Saturday! It is always a neat time to stop and see how the Lord has blessed us with so many wonderful friends. We truly are blessed beyond what we deserve or can imagine! It was amazing to see the difference between this year and two years ago. Two years ago there was only one baby at the party and this year there were 13 children, yes 13 children!! There was a lot of running around and playing but it was so much fun to see all the little mucnkins. We had it outside because there is no way could fit 50 people in our little house but thankfully the weather was beautiful! I guess we should actually call it a fall party instead of a pumpkin carving party because only two people carved pumpkins:) I think because of the number of people and all the little ones everyone wanted to just visit and keep an eye on their kids which was still fun! The menu was creamy pumpkin dip and gingersnaps, chocolate truffle cake, spinach-artichoke dip, hot bacon and swiss dip, cranberry muffins, humus and pita bread and caramel apple dip. The kids menu was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in many fall shapes, brownies and chips and dip. Many of the recipes were compliments to Holly Muncie! Thanks, Holly--they were fabulous! It is fun for me to have an excuse to get to cook and decorate for something. It took me about 3 days to get it all cooked with the little guy but it sure was fun:)
I posted all the pictures on facebook so check out the website below for more pictures.

Crashed!
I was cleaning out a closet this afternoon and Will was bouncing away in his new bouncing toy. He was talking and cooing and making lots of noises but then I turned around because I thought I heard snoring and sure enough he had fallen asleep on the tray of the toy! Poor guy, he looks so uncomforable but he is totally out:) Ha!!
Family Picnic
This week was filled with various meetings, birthday parties and Biblestudies so Tuesday night I decided to pick Nick up for work and take a family picnic on North Campus so we could spend some time together. The weather could not have been more perfect! It was so nice to sit and visit on the lawn and for those of yall from Athens you know how gorgeous the campus is:)

5 months old!
It is hard to believe that Will is 5 months old already. He is growing and changing so much! I think I say in every post that it is my favorite age but seriously this is such a fun age and is my favorite so far!
His friend Benjamin gave him some new toys and he loves them. They are much more entertaining and stimulating than his old ones.
Fun, fun, fun!
He can sit up with the support of his hands now. But without those hands he will be sure to fall:) I imagine that within a few weeks he will be sitting up on his own.
Saturdays in Athens!
Last weekend we had some fun tailgating before the UGA v. Alabama game! Will loved it and had a blast checking out all the action. This was our first time to take him out to all the festivities. The other games were early afternoon games in August and we did not think that would be fun for anyone:) ESPN Gameday was in Athens and they recoreded him for a while in his go dawgs outfit! We don't know if he was actually on TV or not but it was still pretty neat. Nick went to the game and Will and I went home to watch it with friends.
