We woke up March 1st and it was still raining like it had been all weekend. We had heard rumors of snow but it usually does not snow much around here so we did not think much of it. Our friend Lee had stoped by to get Nick before they headed to get Megan from the airport. We saw a few snow flurries coming down and got very excited! We ran outside to take a few pictures before we thought it would melt.

Within 30 minutes the ground was covered by a few inches! It was beautiful!

We built a snowman with a carrot nose and a log for a hat...

We put Will on a trash bag under and umbrella because the snow was coming down so hard that it was soaking him. He was not a happy camper from being wet and cold! Poor little guy!

It was fun for a little while but then trees starting falling on our neighbors houses and cars. transformers were starting on fire, some cars had a wreck right by our house from sliding...it was crazy to watch all of this happen with a few hours! We measured 7 inches of snow on our patio table!!!

Along with most other people we lost power for about 30 hours. We played cards by candle light by the fire and then all 3 bundled up in our bed to stay warm.

The next morning Nick got up and made us pancakes and eggs on our camping stove. It was so good to have something warm to eat!

The roads were still to icy to leave for most of Monday so we just spent the day in front of the fire. Monday afternoon we made our way to the Coffey's warm house along with many other freinds that did not have power. We got power back on late that night and twelve days later got our interet and cable hooked back up! That is why I am just now posting this:)

What a week to remember, huh? The snow is beautiful and I'm so proud of Nick for being such a trooper and being the loving father and hubby he is. Makes us proud to be his parents! Hugs and kisses to all! Grammy
