We had our 3rd annual pumpkin party in October. It is always a neat time to look back and think about how much God has blessed our marriage. When we first got married and moved to Athens we did not know any other couples. It was a hard transitional time for me being in a new town and not having any local friends. We had gone to Redeemer for a couple of months and had not met anyone our age yet. One Sunday we were invited to a small group and introduced to Matt and Alisha Wood. We were so excited to meet another couple our age and not only that they were fun and cool! At our first meeting of them we invited them over to carve pumpkins with us. That was our first "pumpkin party." Each year the Lord has blessed us with more friends from work and church that have encouraged us and we cherrish their friendship. What more of a better time to take a step back at all that the Lord has given us to be thankful for!
