Another trip to the "Big Water"

Lots of fun things to catch up on around here. I'll start with our beach trip (yep, that makes number 3 for the summer...shooo). We celebrated the 4th of July and 6 wonderful years of marriage while we were there!! This is our annual trip that we take with three of my dearest friends from childhood and their families. Will stayed with Grammy and Pops this year and as much as we missed that little guy it sure made it such a relaxing vacation. We got to sleep in, be out past 8:00 o'clock bedtime, not worry about naps and have long uninterrupted conversations. I know that he had an absolute ball and was well loved so a huge thanks go to wonderful grandparents for taking care of him! Molly Jane and Shephard (Katherine and Clark's 6 month old little boy) came with us and were both happy little babies.
The first day we got there it stormed all day. But it did not keep me, Annslee, Anna (7 months pregnant) and Katherine from literally sitting on the couch for SEVEN hours and talking non stop! We had lots to catch up on! It is amazing how we always pick up right were we left off. The guys entertained themselves too by driving to the airport to pick up Annslee and venturing outside when the rain let up a little to play tennis. I think for most of them this is the only time they play all year but they have some much fun bonding while doing this.

We went out for a little seafood the second night.

7-3-04 is a very special day! Six years ago on that day I married the sweetest guy around! Every year so far we have been able to celebrate our anniversary on vacation which has been pretty cool. We got to sleep in then went out for a yummy breakfast together. We spent the rest of the day by the pool and on the beach.

I love you Nick!

You are the best dad, husband and best friend I could ask for!!

These two little dolls were as sweet as can be!

Clark took the scooter to get us a dozen delicious donuts one morning from Thomas Donut shop and I don't think there was a crumb left over.

Here are some bed heads for ya....

Besides one major storm one afternoon we had beautiful weather and no oil.

This year we celebrated the 4th of July by going to a mexican restaurant in Rosemary Beach.

Molly Jane had fun watching the fireworks unlike her brother. Grammy and Pops said he was scared to death of them. He is still talking about how "scawy" they were.

On our way home we stopped in Montgomery and had a yummy lunch with Mary, Hart, Porter and baby Paul. As always, it was so much fun getting to catch up with them. Seeing Porter made us miss Will and we could not wait for our next stop in Atlanta to pick him up.

We left at 8:30am and did not get home unil 10:00pm. It was a long day of driving but it was nice breaking up the drive with fun stops. We were so excited to all be home together again. Will was worn out from being at Grammy and Pops but had lots of fun stories to tell us!
