An Auburn-ish Weekend

Last weekend was a very Auburn-ish weekend and by that I mean it was a weekend jam packed with family, parties, celebrations, delish food and good times.
Once the 3 hour drive of hearing Molly Jane fuss the majority of the time and getting thrown up on by Will (he just gagged-no virus) was over we were all doing much better.  We arrived at my parents house to a cookout to meet my cousins new fiance from Texas.  The house was packed out with aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents galore--I think there was somewhere around 40 family members there.  My mom had prepared a feast as usual.

Saturday morning we headed to Mandi and David's for some more hangout time with just the Rouse family.

Poppy Doc has just recently returned home from a trip from South Africa so he had matching shirts, stuffed monkeys and a collection of Safari animals for all the cousins.
With a family of 17 (almost 18!) there is always a birthday to celebrate when we get together.
This time around the lucky birthday boy was Paul!
It was his 1st birthday.
Mary had done a precious job making party hats for the kids, cupcake toppers and a beautiful cake to celebrate.

Happy 1st birthday Paul!  You are a precious nephew!
Another treat of the weekend was to have my cousin Katie and her husband in town from Canada.  There is just never enough time to catch up with her.
The kids did lots of water activities all weekend.  I think this is one of the rare times they actually had on bathing suits.  There were many white booty's running around all weekend:)

Saturday night the grown-ups got all "fancied up" to go to Jamie and Steven's engagement party.
The kids stayed at the house with 3 babysitters.  All I can say about that is "bless their hearts."  They were troopers to take care of all 7 kids ages 4 and under!

It's always fun to have a date night with this handsome man...

For good measure here is a picture of the bottom of us (my favorite part)!
A good time was had by all at the party!
Unfortunately, Nick came home to find himself stuck in the bathroom most of the night.... the stomach virus came to visit him...uuuugh.

While he stayed in the bed the rest of us went to church before heading home on Sunday.
Once again it was another fun filled weekend with the family.
