Here is a glimpse into our Christmas 2012!
We loved celebrating it at our home again this year with both sets of grandparents and Nick's sister.
It was the best of both worlds being home but also having family here with us.
Christmas Eve night after the kids were tucked in bed the gifts were placed under the tree
and the stockings were filled.
Henry woke up at 5:30 Christmas morning to eat and I couldn't go back to sleep because I was eager to watch the kids open their gifts. They got up around 7:30 and the fun began.
Molly Jane got two princess dresses, food for her kitchen, a baby stroller, a baby doll and a few other small things.
Will got a spiderman costume, Star Wars X-wing lego set and 2 Play Mobile sets.
Santa was even good to mommy and daddy and brought Nick a drill (I had selfish motives for giving him a good drill. Now, he doesn't have a good excuse for not hanging/fixing stuff around the house for me. ha!).
And I got a new 50mm camera lens and a new camera bag. Woohoo!
Now I just need to start learning how to use it. Bring on the tips and advice!
Henry got lots of hugs and kisses and an Elmo snack carrier:)
The rest of the day was spent in our PJ's putting to together the Lego set
coloring on the house from Aunt Kelly,
reading books and playing with all the new toys with the grandparents!
I did manage to get a shower by mid afternoon so I could start prepping for Christmas Dinner.
If only I could have an extra set of hands all the times to hold baby Henry and play with the kids so I can accomplish tasks:)
I can assure you my dinner table does not normally look like this but with four sets of extra hands to help we pulled it off.
The menu was grilled pork tenderloin, rosemary-parmesan potatoes, blue cheese salad and butternut squash dressing with berry pie topped with ice cream for dessert. It was a joyous occasion.
I was a tired momma after it was all over. I saved the dishes until the next day and snuggled this little guy up on the couch after all the company was gone.
I don't think I was the only tired one either:)
Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight!
