We went on our annual beach trip to Destin with my dear childhood friends and their families in July and it was a year to remember. We literally watched it rain for 6 straight days. I'm not even kidding. We made the most of it and had a blast but it sure would have been nice to see some sunshine. Entertaining 9 small kids in a tiny condo for 6 days was not exactly what we had in mind when we thought of spending the week of the 4th of July at the beach.
First day we had a few hours of no rain and we enjoyed it but did not realize it would literally be the last time in the sun all week.
We tried to get creative entertaining these wild kids. Lots of trips to get ice cream, sweet treats and fun little outings to distract from the fact we could be enjoying the beach.
I hope these kids have a special relationship as they grow up just like their moms and dads do.
