Last week we were knee deep in VBS! I was the "Captain" of a class of 5 year old "Sea Mates" as we went an a voyage to learn about Jonah and how the Lord used him even in his disobedience to share God's love.
Will loved his little class and told me he "really, really wanted to go back to BBS!"
Molly Jane felt loved in her little nursery and did surprisingly well when I left her.
It was a fun week but I did not get it together enough to bring my camera and take any pictures.

On a different note, I want to "show off" some of my home grown herbs that I am proud of.
I do not (repeat: DO NOT) have the green thumb my grandfather did. You would think that the fact that he has a building named after him at Auburn University because of all the work he did with plants would mean that I had even just a tiny bit of ability to grow plants but that is unfortunately not usually the case. However, this summer I have managed for the first time ever to keep some herbs alive on our front porch. This may not seem like a big deal to you but I am quite proud of them.
We had some friends over for dinner the other night and I used some of the fresh basil on a homemade pizza...
Below is a picture of the pizza before it was cooked.
This is a summer favorite in our family!
chicken
basil
feta
tomatoes
mozzarella
pizza sauce
We even had home grown mint in the sweet tea.
