"Hold her Molly Jane!!"

"Hold her Molly Jane!" has been the theme of the first two weeks at home:) Will LOVES to hold his baby sister and asked ALL the time! He has still not mastered the art of being gentle yet but we have been working very hard on using loving pats and sweet kisses instead of whacking her or yanking on her little toes. It is so sweet to hear him sing his "Bucket Tractor" song and "Jesus Loves Me" to her. It will be sweet to watch them grow up together and be best little buddies!

Here is a HUGE shout out to THANK Gigi for ALL of her help!!!!!!! We could not have done it with out her and my sister Sara last week! She and Will spent many hours playing in the sandbox, taking walks and playing with trucks so that I could rest and take care of Molly Jane! She made us three delicious meals a day and had yummy snacks galore. She is super Gigi and we are so thankful for her servant heart!

Home sweet home!

We brought this sweet little angel home last Friday! She truly has been the biggest blessing to our family and reminds me of a little baby doll! I don't think she knows how to cry yet:) She has been such a good little eater and has gained an ounce a day for the past week. Like I said in my last post this is a huge answer to prayer because breast feeding was very challenging with Will so I was nervous about doing it with her. Even though she is little bitty she eats and sleeps like a champ-at least so far:)

Will stayed at my parents until Saturday so Nick and I could have a night at home to get settled with Molly Jane before he came back. We are so thankful for them for doing an amazing job keeping him all week! He came home rested, well loved and ready to welcome his little sister into our family! I am off to bed for now but I will post more on our first week at home...

She is here!!!

Let me introduce to you Molly Jane Brannen born April 13, 2010 at 7:50am! She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was 19 inches long. Mommy and baby are doing great!

The sweetest big brother meets his new little sister!

So far she has been such a sweet and laid back baby! Last night she slept on our chest all night and did not make a peep. She has been a natural breastfeeder which is a huge answer to prayer because her big brother had such a hard time. It has been so easy this time around which I am very thankful for. Mommy is feeling well just very sore and recovery from the c-section. Daddy is doing a wonderful job taking care of everybody and is a huge support and encourager. Big brother was very sweet and gentle when he came to visit. He is now spending the rest of the week with his Gigi and PapaDoc in Auburn. I know he is having a blast but we sure do miss him and will be glad to see him on Saturday.
We feel so blessed to have a healthy baby girl join our family!

Three more days....

It's been a busy week full of doctors appointments, my pre-op, last day to teach at Learning Grove for the year, birthday parties, G-day game and finishing up lots of loose ends before Molly Jane comes and last but not least the nasty stomach virus (which I don't recommend getting while being 9 months pregnant:) absolutely nothing fun about it!).

My last post about the baby was saying that we had moved the c-section date back to April 20th because of her size. Well, after my doctor looked over the ultrasound this week he noticed that my placenta was aging faster than he would like and he felt better about moving it back up a week. So we are back to April 13th at 7:00 am! I can't believe she is going to be here in 3 days! I am so excited and can't wait to get my hands on this sweet little angel but I am also anxious about the c-section and the transition of having a newborn again. I know the Lord is with us every step of the way and will carry us through this transition. I'll be sure to update yall when she arrives but please pray for us Tuesday morning at 7:00 am!

Better run...there are bags to pack, thank you notes to finish and a little more nesting to be done:)

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating our risen Lord!!

The fam with Molly Jane in the oven (38 weeks).

We had a yummy Easter lunch after church with Grammy, Papa, Kelly and Tank (a friend from church)!

Backtracking to Sunday morning....Will was super excited about seeing his Easter basket!

Digging for some chocolate....they don't have to be very old to know about the good stuff:)

Modeling his new back pack that he got in his Easter basket!!

Off to find some Easter eggs at the Redeemer Easter Egg hunt....

Looking for the eggs with chocolate in them:) He would dump out the ones with Cheerios:)

Face first in the blue frosting!

HAPPY EASTER FROM THE BRANNENS!!!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow, because He lives, all fear is gone; because I know, He holds the future. And life is worth the living, just because He lives.

Prayer Time

Itty Bitty...

I went to the doctor this morning for an ultrasound to see if Molly Jane is going to be as big as her brother (he was 9 lbs 14 oz and 24 in)and it looks like she is going to be quite petite! I am almost 38 weeks and at this point in Will's pregnancy he was measuring in the 80-90% but she is only measuring in the 21%ile. We had the c-section scheduled for April 13th but today we decided to move it to April 20th to give her a little more time to grow. I am amazed at how different they already are! I am still feeling good so far which I am thankful for! Can't wait to hold and meet this little angel!!!

Just plain ole fun!

I have had so much fun hanging out with this little guy lately! I just love watching him grow up and learn and see his little personality come out! I think I have been getting very sentimental lately thinking that I only have a week or two left with just the two of us before Molly Jane comes. Of course, I am so excited about her coming but I am going to miss time with just the little guy. I am tearing up just thinking about how much I love being his mom! He is such a bundle of joy and says the darn cutest things these days. I am trying to soak up these last few days with him and cherish the time I have with just him! I have heard from many people that your love multiplies and not divides when you have another child but it's hard for me to imagine that right now.
