He finished well

Sunday morning we cheered Bradley on as he breezed through the finish line at the Athens 1/2 Marathon.

He rocked it!
It was such a treat to have my sister and her family stay with us last weekend.  It is very rare in my family to spend time with only one other sibling at a time.  Saturday the only thing on the agenda was to just hang out.  We stayed in our pj's until late morning and the only time we left the house all day was to go to Trader Joe's.  It was sweet to see Hannah and Will get to know each other better and become such sweet friends.  Rarely do just the two of them get to play.  I think it is hitting me that they will be leaving soon for at least 3 years.  I have been tearing up this week thinking about not seeing them for so long.  It made the weekend all the more special.

Best spot in the house

If you open Will's window and crawl outside,
you will find the most perfect place to build a pallet, look at the stars, talk about the weather and discuss about all the important events of the day like playing with trucks, digging holes, swinging, trees, diggers and bugs.
There is not much cooler when you are three years old than hanging out on top of the roof.
 Thank goodness for this.
This is one of those "you can only do this with mommy or daddy" type of activities.

Come on over and do it with us sometime!

It stinks when....

....your paint shelf collapses and all your paint spills on your laundry room floor.   No pun intended about the "stinky part."  Instead of smelling fresh laundry washed in Tide the room has an overbearing, head ache-giving, fumey smell with big beautiful stains all over the floor.  How lovely.

A night at the cabin

After our day at the farm we went back to spend an evening with Nick's family in the cabin.  You know it's the cabin that Nick and and his dad built when Nick was a young lad.
Pops had it fully decorated to the kids delight.
The hanging bats were Will's personal favorite.
 Molly Jane liked the kitty.

After running around and exploring the great outdoors we built a fire to cook our yummy-o hot dogs and s'mores.

This full and fun-packed day left two happy but wiped out kiddos.
I'm looking forward to the day when Will is a little older and can have a spend the night party's in the cabin!
