Fabulous weekend!

Fabulous is a perfect description of our weekend! Will went to spend the weekend with Grammy and Papa (which we are VERY thankful for!) so Nick and I could have a little "babymoon" at home! Here is a little recap of what we did....

Friday night we met the Brannen's half way and had dinner with them at Cracker Barrel. After dinner Nick and I headed to downtown Athens and for dessert at Yoguri and then took a long walk around town just talking and enjoying each others company!

Saturday we slept in (ahhh!!), went out for breakfast, visited a friend in the hospital with a new baby, went to Elephants Trunk, Target and Lowe's, came home and Nick did many things on his "honey-do-list," napped, went to Mirko for dinner and then went to a wonderful couples shower given by our sweet, sweet friends!

These are the seven hosts (and their husbands who were outside playing corn hole so we did not dare bother them for a picture:)) that did such an amazing job planning and hosting the shower! They all chipped in to help us get our double Phil and Ted stroller which I am absolutely thrilled about!!!They had made some yummy cakes and dessert! I want to brag on my friend Nan for a minute who painted this card. She looked at the picture I had taken of the nursery and copied it!! Isn't this amazing! I am so impressed with her hidden talent:) Every detail of the shower was so special and thought through and it meant so much to Nick and I!

Ok, back to the weekend....Sunday morning we slept in again, went to church and then headed to Madison to pick up our little guy. Even though it was such a wonderful weekend with just me and Nick, we felt complete when Will was back. Thank you Grammy and Papa for taking care of the the little guy for us! I know he had a blast and so did we:)

I had such a nice time at your shower! I am not sure if it was the fact that I got to eat two different types of cake or that I was kid free for a few hours. ha!! And that card Nan made is so beautiful. It would be fun to frame for your nursery.

YAY!! for P & T's. Welcome to the club. :) You, Nan, and I will look hardcore p&t fans walking together!!
