SIX

Turning 6 on May 6th only means one thing….a golden birthday!

So we celebrated with cupcakes at school and a visit from mom and brother.
A night out with the family to celebrate his last night being 5. He choose to go to Barberitos and ordered a large cheese dip and blue Gatorade followed by a trip to Toys R' Us to pick out his very own Lego set. The kid was in heaven.
At his request we celebrated with friends with a bug party.  Will helped set and decorate the table and plan all the activities.  Boys are fun, especially this one.
 The menu:
Grape caterpillars
Pretzel butterflies
Gummy Turtles
Bug Juice
Worms in Dirt Cake

Each boy was given a bug catcher (I found them at the dollar spot at Target!) as their party favor and they also used it to go on a bug hunt in the back yard.
Next, we played pin the spider on the web.
Followed by crawling over, under and through a gigantic spider web.

I think their favorite activity was digging in a huge bucket of real dirt for real worms, naturally.
Happy birthday to this handsome, smart, artistic, argumentative, stubborn, snuggling, creative, imaginative 6 year old boy of mine!  Thankful he's mine.
