Down home Celebration

We went to the "booming" town of Colbert, Georgia (population 448!) today for an
Independence Day Parade.
It was precious!
It was as country as country gets!
Good ole' down home country....tractors, pick up trucks, flags and more.

See the little man with the hat and long gray hair....yeah, well he was the Emcee of the parade.  Seriously, he sat on the back of his pick up truck with a microphone and narrated all the floats as they passed by.   It was awesome!
Of course, a 4th of July Parade would not be complete without the Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam.
This is my all time favorite!!  A leather reclining chair on wheels with a floor lamp attached!!!!  This guy was boogying down the road.
This was one of many tractors we saw...
Bet you have never seen a water slide and pool in a parade.  The dog and daughter were sliding as the float was moving.
The kids loved it!  They were very entertained by all the floats for over an hour.
They had fun showing their patriotism with their American Flags.

 Proud to be Americans!

We had fun celebrating country style today!
