Lunch on the Lawn

The date was set.

The invitations were mailed.

The menu was planned.

The food was made.

The decorations were hung.

Our family came.

Our friends came.

The weather was 70 degrees and sunny.

We celebrated our sweet baby girl's 1st birthday with a

The Menu:

Chicken Salad Sandwiches

Pimento Cheese Sandwiches

Cucumber Sandwiches

Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches Sandwiches

Strawberries and Grapes

Strawberry Lemonade was served in Mason Jars with a pink sugar ring around the lip.
White Dogwood was arranged as the center piece.

Gingham Flags, a birthday banner (made by my sister) and tissue pom poms were hung across the yard.

A White tent covered the food tables.

The birthday girl was dressed and ready.
Guest arrived and the partying began.






After lunch the big kids played on the new play set.


The mommies visited.

And the wee ones played on the picnic blankets.

The cake was a Cream Cheese Pound Cake layered with whipped cream and fresh strawberries topped with one little green candle.
Happy birthday was sung to the birthday girl and the messiness began.

She loved it.
We love her!

She ate every last bit of it!
Daisy flower suckers were given to Molly Jane's friends as party favors.
After the guest left the family helped Molly Jane open all her precious little gifts.
