My to-do list yesterday looked something like this...
  • bake and decorate 60 cupcakes
  • make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for Will's class party on Thursday
  • clean house for playgroup Easter egg hunt on Friday
  • plan Easter lunch menu for Sunday
  • go grocery shopping
  • cook for Easter family lunch
  • stuff eggs for 4 different Easter egg hunts
  • prepare table decorations for Easter lunch
  • get kids Easter outfits ready
I am sure you all have very similar lists this week.  While all this is fun and I love doing these things I don't want to get caught up in all this.  I don't want my kids to think Easter is all about the Easter egg hunts and the candy.

What Christ has done on the cross is why we have HOPE.   It is the reason we have JOY and PEACE today and tomorrow.

I was reminded of this beautiful song when I saw it on my friend Rachel's blog...
Living, He loved me
Dying, He saved me
Buried, He carried my sins far away
Rising, He justified freely forever
One day He’s coming
Oh glorious day, oh glorious day

May we not forget that he has conquered death so that we can have eternal life and be freed of our sin.  What good news!

Will and I made this empty tomb to help teach him and remind myself him that Christ is not dead. He has risen!  His work is finished!  What a reason to celebrate!  May all the celebrations this week bring glory and honor to our risen Savior!  May we love all that we come into contact with so that they will know this good news too!

This was a fun and easy craft to do with your little ones....

 He has Risen!!!

Happy Easter!!

thanks for that a&c for easter..we have been talking lots about it, but it would be fun to do something...no paint or paint brushes...but surely marker will work just as well.

can't wait to try it.
